DNS Belgium has been nominated as climate ambassador 2018

16 November 2018

Every year, the Milieu-infopunt voor de KMO (MiK) [Environmental Information Point for SMEs] designates a company based in Flemish Brabant as climate ambassador. We are one of the 3 finalists this year, and we need your support to win. You can vote for us via www.mikopklimaat.be

MiK is a partnership between the Province of Flemish Brabant and the VOKA [Flanders’ Chamber of Commerce and Industry] – Flemish Brabant Chamber of Commerce.  MiK provides support to small and medium-sized businesses in their search for answers to their environmental questions and with the steps they take for sustainability, climate neutrality, water and energy conservation.

Climate neutral

We have been nominated because of our efforts to become climate neutral. Our ambitious climate programme is geared to a significant reduction and offsetting of our CO2 emissions. We also assume our responsibility for the consequences of our emissions in the past.

We have taken a number of major steps such as switching to a green energy supplier and the migration of our registration and management platform to a climate neutral cloud solution. We have also taken various actions to get our colleges and (international) partners involved and to stimulate them to reduce their CO2 emissions in turn.

More information on MiK and the climate ambassadorship is available on www.mikopklimaat.be. You can also vote there for us until the end of December 2018. The winner will be announced on Monday, 14 January 2019.

We hope we can count on your vote.
