2025 became the year of digital sovereignty. We decided, on the one hand, to raise awareness among entrepreneurs about the importance of keeping their critical infrastructure independent from foreign platforms, and on the other hand, to migrate our own registration system to European infrastructure.

In 2025, there was an overall decline in the number of domain names, with respective decreases of 16,117 for .be, 212 for .brussels and 379 for .vlaanderen. In percentage terms, this represents a decrease of 0.94% for .be, 2.51% for .brussels and 6.50% for .vlaanderen.

Industry contains all business domain names which we divide further into different subcategories.
