Your job 

You combine strong accounting expertise with the ability to carry out and improve administrative processes efficiently. You take ownership of both the financial administration and the day-to-day running of the office.

You're responsible for accurate accounting in Odoo (85%):

  • You process purchase and sales invoices and monitor the entire order-to-pay process.
  • You process bank statements and make payments to suppliers.
  • You follow up on outstanding customer and supplier accounts.
  • You check accounting data for accuracy and completeness.
  • You prepare the monthly, quarterly and year-end closes in collaboration with our external accountant.
  • You prepare the VAT returns, audits and other legal requirements.

You are responsible for the smooth organisation of the office (15%):

  • You're the first point of contact for all office-related queries.
  • You liaise with office suppliers, the property manager, insurers and other facilities partners.
  • You manage the office supplies and monitor the office budgets.
  • You make sure the office runs smoothly.

You report to the People & Business unit lead.

About you 

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in accountancy and taxation, business management, finance or equivalent experience.
  • You have at least two years of experience in a broad accounting and administrative role.
  • You have a very good knowledge of general accounting, VAT regulations and are confident using Excel.
  • You identify opportunities for improvement and suggest ways to make processes more efficient.
  • You communicate clearly and enjoy working with colleagues across different units.
  • You're able to communicate well in Dutch and have a good command of English.
