Your job will be to take a multidisciplinary team to the next level, while being responsible for marketing, communications, business development, CSR, R&D, product management and support. In conjunction with various external partners, you will also work on initiatives that strengthen our social impact.
In your role, you’ll combine strategy with action and translate ideas into tangible results that make the digital landscape more sustainable, secure and inclusive.

Important for your role
- As Lead of Digital Society, you will translate our corporate mission into tangible results. You will provide direction and inspiration, ensuring that your team works together towards one goal: creating a digital society that is honest, secure and sustainable.
- You will provide leadership for an experienced and enthusiastic team that has an impressive range of achievements to its credit: multiple BOCA awards for our cybersecurity campaigns for young people, an accolade as the best accessible website and recognition as Belgium’s first SDG Ambassador.
- We are a major player within the online landscape, with sustainability at our heart. We are dedicated to (digital) inclusion, greater cybersecurity and making a minimal impact on the environment. We expect you to recognise the added value of this yourself and to share our passion for everything digital and sustainable.
About you
- You have a minimum of 15 years of experience working in sales, marketing or business development, preferably in technology or innovation.
- You have experience with people management, along with building and managing teams.
- You are an inspiring leader capable of empowering people based on sociocratic principles such as equality, transparency and joint decision-making (S3).
- You are a strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset: you like to maintain a general overview, but do not shy away from operational matters.
- You have a strong affinity with digital technology, ethics, privacy and digital autonomy.
- Sustainability is one of your core values. Not only are you inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), but you also actively promote these goals and help build a digital future that is ecologically responsible and socially relevant.
- You communicate clearly, convincingly and engagingly in Dutch, French and English.
- You are inquisitive, a team player and are able to work independently.

- To develop and implement
You will work with your team on a strategic sales and marketing plan that is totally in line with our corporate mission. - To manage and coach
You will build, motivate and guide a multidisciplinary team made up of sales, marketing, CSR, product, support and R&D professionals. - To identify growth opportunities
You will identify growth opportunities in markets or segments where digital independence is a necessity and then translate those insights into practical actions. - To build relationships
You will strengthen our ties with customers, partners and stakeholders and create new types of collaboration that will increase the impact we make. - To position us sustainably
You will position .be in the market as the most reliable and independent alternative to Big Tech: local, transparent and within our own control. - To inspire and activate
You will take proposals for campaigns, events, CSR and thought leadership initiatives and enhance them. You will make contributions in a stimulating and critical manner, enabling ideas to develop and having an impact.
