Growing together with .be

In close collaboration with all registrars , we aim to boost the number of .be domain name registrations. 

Launch of wijzijn.be & cestnous.be 

Inspiring all digital entrepreneurs in Belgium to register a .be domain name. That was the reason for a major national campaign in the autumn of 2025.  

We therefore introduced two new initiatives: wijzijn.be and cestnous.be. And step by step, we’re removing all doubts. Because: 

  • .be is more local 

  • .be is more secure 

  • .be is more sustainable 

  • .be is more inclusive 

You saw a wave of colourful 3D .be’s appear — all carrying the same underlying message: there’s a .be for everyone. 

The campaign is no longer running today, but feel free to continue using our materials while awaiting a follow-up.

The more .be domains we spread, the greater the impact. Give the colourful .be’s and their compelling messages a spot on your own website, social media, newsletters…

.be Comeback campaign

With the .BE Comeback campaign, we reach out to former holders of .be domain names that have recently expired. We remind them of the importance of their domain name and offer an easy way to reactivate it. 

The goal: keep as many domain names as possible within the .be ecosystem.

Our weekly email campaigns show up to a 3.9% reactivation of domain names.

Pilot project Cross-Sell .be

With the Cross-Sell Pilot Project, we are testing a new way to increase the number of .be domain names. We partner with registrars who suggest a .be domain name when customers register other extensions (.com, .eu, …). 

The goal: encourage Belgian businesses and individuals to strengthen their online presence with a .be.

This year as well, we will further expand our actions with new initiatives that both stimulate new registrations and help retain existing customers. Keep an eye on this page for updates.
